Terms of service
Last updated 16 September 2026
Breakdown is run by Hardik Bamania. These terms cover the website at breakdown.cc and the app behind it. Using either means you accept them. They are written in plain language on purpose — if something here is unclear, email hello@breakdown.cc and ask, and I will answer it myself.
1. Breakdown is in alpha
This matters more than anything else on this page. The product works and people are using it, but it is an early alpha: features change, things break, and analysis is occasionally wrong. There is no uptime guarantee and no service level agreement. Do not make it the only place something important lives.
2. Your account
- You sign in with Google. You are responsible for anything done through your account.
- One account per person. Accounts are for humans, not scripts.
- You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live.
- I can suspend an account that is being used to break these terms.
3. Founding seats, payments and refunds
- A founding seat is paid once, upfront, and covers your first six months at the price shown when you buy. After that it renews at the rate stated on the seat you bought, and you can cancel before a renewal.
- Full refund within 30 days of purchase, no questions asked. Email me and I will send the money back.
- Founding pricing, the credit allowance and the advisory board seat are tied to the seat you bought and do not transfer to another account.
- Payments are handled by Dodo Payments. I never see or store your card details.
4. Credits
Actions that cost real money to run — a teardown, a script — spend credits from your balance. Your plan says how many you get. If an action fails, its credits are returned to you. Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred, and cannot be cashed out.
5. What you may not do
- Resell, white-label or redistribute Breakdown's output as your own product. Using it for your own content, or your clients' content on an Agency seat, is exactly what it is for.
- Scrape, bulk-export or automate against the app, or try to work around credit limits.
- Use it to harass anyone, or to break the law or Instagram's terms.
- Attempt to access another user's boards, scripts or data.
6. Public data, and content that is not yours
Breakdown analyses public Instagram posts only, retrieved through established third-party data providers — the same information anyone sees while logged out. There are no credentialed sessions and no fake accounts. Analysis of a public post is not an endorsement by, or affiliation with, its creator.
You are responsible for what you publish. Scripts Breakdown writes are a starting point, not legal or professional advice, and you should check anything factual before posting it.
7. Who owns what
- Yours: your boards, notes, voice profile and the scripts generated for you. You can use them commercially without restriction.
- Mine: the software, the prompts, the interface and the Breakdown name.
- I may use anonymised, aggregated usage data to improve the product. Your content is never sold.
8. Ending it
You can stop at any time. Email hello@breakdown.cc to have your account and everything in it deleted — see the privacy policy for what that removes. If Breakdown shuts down, I will give notice and a way to export your work.
9. Liability
Breakdown is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, I am not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost revenue or lost audience, arising from using it. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to what you paid in the twelve months before the claim.
10. Changes
These terms may change as the product does. Material changes will be emailed to anyone with an account, and the date at the top of this page will change. Continuing to use Breakdown after that means you accept the new version.
11. Contact
